  If you only take cash, you need to put a sign up stating that.
  Plenty of good places only take cash,... no problem.
  I suggested putting up a sign saying they only take cash because some customers might need to know this prior to eating.
  The manager responded with attitude:
  "a sign on the front door saying cash/check only might cause people not to try our food"
  Yes! That is the point of a sign!
  If you only take cash, people need to know before making their choice to eat at your restaurant. The manager openly said they choose not to put up a sign because they only want people to know this they after they try the food (and then owe money they didn't bring). They intentionally only tell customers to run out to ATM after they eat. (Assuming you also have debit card on hand)

  Warm and friendly staff and owner. We have been going there for nearly 30 years. It fits the definition of comfort food to a tee. Only open during the week, it was a favorite spot to feed the kids on the way to piano lessons and still has a special spot in our hearts.
